III. RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES

Type of Recruitment Initiative

Brief Description of Activity

(Menu Selection)

1

Participate in Job Fair

On January 15, 2017, this station employment unit

(“SEU”) participated in the Asian American Expo in

Pomona, California. SEU participants included the Vice

President of Multicultural Radio Broadcasting, Inc.-West

Coast, our Personnel Director and a member of the

personnel staff, who disseminated information about

careers opportunities in radio broadcasting.

2

Participate in Job Fair

On February 21, 2017, our SEU participated in the

Alhambra Lunar New Year Festival, a one-day street

festival, which took place on Valley Boulevard, the heart

of the Chinese commercial district in the San Gabriel

Valley. SEU participants included one of our senior

Account Executives, who joined representatives of our

parent company in its booth and shared information with

interested attendees about our company as well as the

career opportunities that are available in radio

broadcasting.

3

Internship Program

Our SEU is proud of its internship program that provides

students with hands-on experience in radio broadcasting.

During this reporting period, our SEU hosted two (2)

student interns from the following schools:

•one from Charter Oak High School;

•one from California State University-Monterey Bay.

These interns were supervised by our Program Director

and, by working closely with SEU personnel in various

departments, learned how to edit audio, host programs,

operate the board and produce programming. The

students were also encouraged to seek career advice from

members of our staff.
